Part of the "Belonging" series in which Sofiya explored the sense of belonging in the context of immigration and constant traveling. 

 

She created this piece right before moving to New York from Miami, about to start living independently for the first time in her life. Even though New York was going to become her new home, the years she spent living in Miami forever affected her perception of the US in general.
